Some questions on hatching eggs

Okay, they didn't move but I'm going to give them till the end of today and then crack them I'll tell you what I find! I put another thermometer in there and it read 110 Fahrenheit and I think the humidity was too high because I cracked a broken one this morning (it had died) and it hadn't absorbed its yolk and it had a LOT of extra water. I think it died on the 18th day. And I assume the extra water was from really high humidity 76%

I'm sorry you had such a poor hatch :(
I'm not too familiar with Fahrenheit but I think 110 is rather high, I wonder how accurate that is and how long it has been like that.
There is an excellent post about eggtopsies but I'm struggling to find it at the moment, I may have better luck later when I can get back on the laptop, and will post a link then. Take lots of pictures when you do it, not necessarily to post if you don't want to, but to reference in future. I find I'll read something and think it sounds plausible but wasn't something I was looking for at the time so don't know if the evidence was there or not, it's good to be able to look back at photos then. How are your successful chicks doing?

My successful chicks are great I am holding one right now it just fell asleep in my lap! and yes 110 is really high (ten degrees to high) and i'm guessing I probably cooked them, poor things.:hit I will post a picture when I crack the eggs!
And I don't know how long the temperature has been that high but i'm guessing not very long because five hatched!

:love
I've just looked and it is 6 degrees in Celsius, I understand that better! Was that a calibrated thermometer?
As you say 5 hatched so it couldn't have been too long, so I hope you don't really feel like you cooked them! :hugs
Will you try hatching again?

I'm glad it hasn't put you off, and I'm sure you'll have more success next time :)

I decided to crack one now because I figured it was dead, it was here's a picture

Please check the humidity settings and make necessary adjustments. Have a nice hatch!

I found the 'post' that I mentioned but it's not on BYC as I had thought.
Pyxis will be back on later I imagine and may be able to offer some insight.
I will check if I'm allowed to post external links and also see if there is anyone else about that could help.
There were no signs of life were there?

No there were no signs of life I think it died on the 18th because the yolk was not absorbed
