Some sad looking polish, I think?

Well I have been reading on here just tonight about how chickens can live with missing toes/feet even as long as they have a descent quality of life no reason she can't pull right on through.

Cute feather doo too

Awwww! She looks so sweet with her feathers tied back!
I'm sorry, I don't have any good advice for you, just chiming in with moral support. You are very kind-hearted to take care of this girl. Sounds like the antibiotics, warmth and comfort are the best things you can give her, and if she is eating and drinking, that's a good sign. I hope things get better and I hope someone has the words of wisdom that you need.

Can she get around at all? Judging by the looks of her she will heal up fine and I bet she does. Maybe she will be missing some toes but she could pull through that.

This might be a tad off current topic, but I noted earlier that you said you were feeding them layer feed. That has too much calcium for the males and should not be fed long term. (Risk of kidney damage.)

They would all benefit greatly from a switch to flock raiser (less calcium, more protein) even your hen, who can have oyster shell supplement on the side when she gets well enough to lay eggs again. Hopefully her foot will heal without losing all of it. Perhaps the dead toes are frost bite as well or maybe the guy stepped on her toes? Perhaps he didn't know she also had a foot infection. In any case she is much better off with you. Best of luck with them.

Thanks bigskychickens I hope she pulls through. I'm pretty sure it is gonna be with only one foot. I am gonna readup on 1 footed chickens see if that is possible.

Fort Worth chicks....Yea she gets around she hops to and from the feed dish, holding up the other leg she doesn't seem to wanna put any pressure on it. But if the tissues dead can she even feel it?

Today's bandage change.......bottom of foot looks like it is slightly healing, toes are black and stiff, she seemed rather spunky today during her foot soak and bandaging, maybe getting some feeling back in her foot? IDK Eating, drinking and hopping about. I pout some Silver Sulfadizine on her foot today along with the neosporin, I put some on last night as well seemed to work good saw some possible healing this morning. IDK though. I read last night they can live if their toes fall off, even found a thread dedicated to handicapped Chickens!!
