No kidding! I am surprised my chicks lived. For the first couple hours I had them, every time I saw one like that, I picked it up and gave it water. Poor darlings- it took me awhile to realize they were just sleeping!! They should come with a warning on the box!

They're not as bad as some of the others, but these chicks often had the 'dead' look when they were sleeping

They used to love Spud Monster (the white thing!)

Love the sleeping chicks, was hilarous when I would catch them dozzing off and jerking awake until they just said the heck with it and fell over asleep.

Omg even after reading this i know im still going to wake them up so many times just bc i will freak out thinking they are dead. But i love all the pic they are so cute i cant wait till mine come in!

Oh that is cute. Baby coturnix quail sleep on thier side..... its SOOO CUTE!!! I found when thery are covered up and cant look out you can watch them sleep.... I sneak up and watch them snoozing often!!! cute little babies.. I NEVER thought I would LOVE my poultry SO MUCH!!!

I'll never forget the heart attack I about had when I first saw our chicks sleep like that last spring too! But every time I'd go get the camera, they'd wake up! And whenever I'd carry the camera with me, I couldn't catch them in the act....figures! What was really cute was how they could be so active, up and about, and then just tucker out.....then, wake up, and at it again. No "wake up" period...just get up and go!
