Someone has listed my house for sale......???

Yeah, keeping the house isn't even an issue. They have no legal claim to the house. It's ours free and clear. It would be no different if I posted your house for sale on Craigslist with pictures and address and maps. It's just insane people.

And I just checked and it is still listed.

Most police departments are a 24/7 operation. Just call and have someone take a report.

...did you print out the Craigslist ad? You may need it for proof.

Not to sound paranoid with your problem... but I'd be watching my credit ratings....if they sold you the house then in their paperworks they have some of your private information... I'd be worried about identity theft as these people are strangely motivated.

I didn't read all pages, but do post the no trespassing signs, put up game cam or a security camera around your home, use motion activated lights and get a good locksmith to change your locks. If you can gate your access drive I'd do that also and lock it. Also if your mail box is accessible by others, have the postal office hold your mail or get a P.O. Box. If you have binoculars use them to spot out the cars parked, make, modle, persons, descriptions and mark the time. Call your local Police or Sherrif and make a report - get that on file with them!!!

Thanks everyone! The post is removed, I guess Craigslist got the email from my attorney. I still really want to know if the previous owners did this, or not. I can't imagine the listing place did, so it had to be them. I have a screenshot of it saved in my computer.

Thanks!

If you are certain about the foster kids, a quick call to the state CPS will get them investigated. Even if they are using a "private" agency the state still has the oversite. If they committedfraud to get recertified, they go to jail, and your issue is solved (it's an annomious complaint, and you do not need to give any information about yourself).

There is an awful your not telling us. Did you have a lawyer? If not that was your first mistake. Do you have one now? If not, that's your second. If you have nothing in writing, then you very well may not own your house. Contrary to popular opinion "possession is "not" 9 tenth's of the law". What concerns me is your statement "the people we "were" buying our house from". Don't you know if you bought your house or not?

Oklahoma DHS has already been investigating them. They keep moving and joining different churches. It is just sad. Obviously the private foster care doesn't care, because they have been banned from the state run foster care. They get $100 a day per kid, and if they adopt, they still get paid. Plus 34 paid days off. It is a complete racket and they know how to work it. They get food stamps, medicare, Angel trees, everything. They feel like the world owes them. That is why they are upset about the house. They feel like we ripped them off. They agreed to the price, and it was more than the house appraised for, and there were 4 appraisals done.

I see that you didn't read any of this. I know that I own my house. Why are you responding in an accusatory tone to a thread you haven't even read?
