Maybe they do regurgitate it? We had to dissect one is high school and it looked just like that. Had a whole dang mouse skeleton in it complete with fur.

When I was kid, we had a barn owl nesting in the third story of our barn. This was probably early '80s/maybe late 70s; way before they became endangered.
