Hi everyone,

Hoping someone might have an idea what is wrong with my 8 week old silver laced Wyandotte chick. Last week he/she ( think it’s a she?) seemed normal, happy and eating/drinking well. For the past 3 days everyday I go to feed and check on the chickens, she is always sitting down, closing eyes, and looking hunched. Almost as if her neck has been sucked in. All of the other chicks from the same bunch all seem their happy normal selves so I’m a bit unsure what’s wrong with this one. I can’t see any injuries when I checked her so I am bit stumped. Appreciate any advice or feedback? Still new to raising wyandottes/chickens in general.
The first four photos are of her a week ago, and the last 3 are of her today.

thank you 🙏

She looks very weak.
Is she eating and drinking now??
If not,plz force feed her.
Have u checked her crop??
Is it full or empty????
Check her poop as well if it contains any blood.
If her crop is ok,then It looks coccidiois to me.

Her puffed up stance looks like coccidiosis. It will not hurt to treat her and the rest of the flock with amprolium (Corid). You can get the 9.6% liquid form at Tractor Supply and most other farm supply stores.
The dosage would be 2 tsp to a gallon of water for 5-7 days. Then drop to 1 tsp to a gallon of water for another 5 to 7 days. This must be the only source of drinking water during the treatment time.
I would directly drench this little one with a 1/4 tsp undiluted Corid for once a day for three days in a row.
Do not offer any nutritional supplement containing thiamine (vitamin B1) while treating with amprolium as that will reduce the effect of the Corid.

Thank you so much for this advice! Will go to a farm store tomorrow and start giving this ago :)

Her crop seems ok and she was eating and drinking a little bit but not as much as she normally is.
I’ll check her poop tomorrow but might get treatment for coccidiois just in case maybe
