Soooo many questions

Hey everyone,
I have alot of questions and Im hopeing you can answer them. We just recently got a new chic, just hatched today. There is definitely something terribly wrong with it. The poor baby was found no where near the momma, it will not stand up, it will not hold its head up at all, it will not open its eyes. I dont know what to do. It will peep it will drink but thats it. I have to constantly hold it or it will flip over and will not right itself. Its legs just stick out infront of it. Can someone please tell me what is going on???

It takes about 14-24 hours for them to get strong enough to walk around normal. They don't need food or water during that time.

Do you have more than one? It's a good idea to have at least three as they get lonely.

Are you providing heat? It needs to be kept around 90 - 95* the first 24 hours. As others have said, it takes time for a new born to get his coordination. It may be a failure to thrive chick, and no matter what you do, it will not be viable. You can give it the best chance by getting some Poultry Nutri Drench, but I'd wait till it's 24 hours old before trying to get it to take a drop of PND.
