If you read through the sex-link information thread, pay close attention to the color method for sexing. If you have the same breed, the males will be "silver" (pale yellow) and the females will be "gold" (golden yellow).
It does NOT work for every breed or color combination of parents!
My five Christmas babies have the same father and choice of two mothers that are sisters. Early Bird is a silver chipmunk and Late Bird is a golden chipmunk. Thing One and Thing Two (hey, the kids named them) are grey. Who knows? (lol) The Black One (still in search of a cool name) did not have a white spot on his head. Based upon his size and behavior, he's a boy!
Also on that same sex-link thread there was information about feather sexing. I couldn't tell enough of a difference on my birds' wings. Some where someone said "girls grow tails first while boys grow combs first.". Early Bird and Late Bird held true for tails. His was still a nub and hers was feathering out.
Anyway, when I saw the chicks in the picture, I thought "2 girls & 3 boys" based upon their base colors of gold and silver.
I can't make it to any shows this weekend, but PLEASE keep mentioning them! If I can visit my parents AND attend a chicken show the same weekend, well, it's that whole "two birds, one stone" thing!
