Yeah that's why i liked them for the already-created templates. Almost like a plug-n-play. I actually found them through your site I think.

When I go to purchase I will tell them you referrred me so we can get a monthly discount..I can't remember the specs right off. But yeah, about me being older..I'm "only", and I say that term very loosely because I feel old sometimes, 26 years old.

You get 2 free months, and I get 1 free month for the referral

I don't know what to tell you. We lost about 35 hens to our hawk this summer when they were free ranging. I have had to put everything in covered runs or they would be picked off one at a time. Once the hawk knows food is there, I'm not sure how to get rid of it. You cannot kill them. It's against the law. That hawk still sits in the tree by my coops just hoping he'll find a chicken on its own. It's horrible. He even got both of my guineas. They are horrible chicken predators.

I did read that songbirds are good at chasing hawks away. If you come up with something else, I'd love to hear it! I have 30 guinea keets and don't know what to do with them since the hawk is determined to get them. I wanted the guineas for bug control which is pointless locked up in a run!

i would not shoot the hawk either, as long as the game warden was talking to me , but as i see him go around the corner if the hawk was in range i dont think he would get the chance to kill number 36 i know your birds mean alot to you and they are expensive so you have to do what you have to do to protect your chickens. i dont care how pretty the hawk might be

well, it might be illegal to shoot them with bullet, but you an certainly use a paint ball marker (aka paint ball gun) to hit them. We have a blue heron that is protected, but likes to hunt our koi it has killed 2 that were over 15 inches, too large for it to eat so it just killed them ad left them. After hitting it twice with the paint ball marker, it has decided to fish elsewhere

If we could, we might. That darn hawk sees my husband and takes off every time. We can never catch him in one place for even a few minutes. He's onto us!

Susanne, once my guineas reach adulthood I have not had a problem with hawks getting them. When the colored birds were young one tried but finally gave up--no predator wants to expend too much energy getting its meal. I now have a small falcon or pigeon hawk coming in but the adult guineas have so far chased him off. Now racoons have proven to be another story for the guineas!

is there anyway you can encourage other birds into your yard.. put out black oil sunflower seeds and keep it and other song and jay bird min out .. Crows are the best if you can get them and the jay's to take up territory in your yard ( they both really like the black oil sunflower seeds) they will run off any hawk that encroaches on their territory.. its illegal to shot them but not to scare them off with Blank shells.. paint balls too is a good idea..
might try that? and one of those sonic predator devices Ive heard good things about them.. ???

good luck not an easy problem to deal with
