nothing special, but it does break down flat with no tools. Working on lid design. trying to balance light vs ventalation vs viewing vs het retention & do I want a viewing window on the side.

for now it is a box, it could be stacked if i made a side door, but you would have to crawl in to clean it out.

Hmm, in the future I could do 2x4, front door, stackable and stack 3 high

Amy and all ya'll "up there" I hate you are having such bad wind ...It was bad here and so cold so I ran to get extra plastic to block wind on one coop that a tractor blocked the wire but I moved that tractor so it is open now and came home to no wind...

Thanks for all the sweet comments on my babies...I am worried about them with the cold but the weather for me says much lighter wind tomorrow(none now) and 60's here by tues! For some reason this side of the lake is always warmer than in town! I love it!!

DH is building me another coop...should have pics of it done tomorrow too!! He is trying to make me extra space for the Newnan trip! He now knows the chicken math will prevail! Robert...the brooder sounds awsome!! We must have pics!!

OOOPS! One night out is truly all it takes!... My DD brought me a truly rescued kitten about a year ago thrown from a car window right in front of her! OMG!!! and she is kinda shy and really doesn't like a lot of petting and hides when anyone comes over but sleeps with us and hangs out when I am on the computer...but NEVER goes out EXCEPT...about a month ago she ran out the back door as I was going out to do chicken chores and I couldn't find her till the next evening...long story short...I petted her tonight just a little because she loves to hang out but does not tolerate petting except just a little occasionally...and...is suspense building or have you guessed??? YEP!!!! She IS pregnant!!! awww...Next week chicks are hatching in 'bator...and maybe??? kittens??? LMAO! Have I said OMG!!! Here is a pic of "buggar" from last August lounging around...


See the spot by her nose? So her name is Buggar...

Bless her heart! HaHaHa...anyone want a kitten?

Oh... DH called while I was in the middle of nowhere TN, and said when he got to the farm, there were 11 goat kids! All born in less than 24 hours ( probably more like 18-20) It was hard to tell what kids belonged to what nanny! Four of them were dead.... and now we have too many kids! Goat kids I mean....

I was like

and nope I am not on the way home yet!

We went a totally different way home Took a little longer

But we missed the 20 degree weather (colder with wind chill) and any snow & ice!

We hit snow flurries this morning in Asheville, and some snowy places on the road & such at higher altitudes, Sometimes flurries sometimes a good nice big snow fall all the way through Knoxville - probably 50 to 75 miles outside Nashville. Then we turned off I-40 and no snow - some flurries here & there...but not much!
