LOL! I have a wheelbarrow! But my yard is sooo lumpy from puppies digging random holes and pulling up roots and just playing in general that the wheel barrow would have fallen over trying to get it acrioss. I am just not strong (or coordinated) enough to keep it balanced on that one wheel. I think I came across the idea in Mother Earth News... When I saw it I felt the same way and I thought 'see there was a reason nobody wanted my brick when I was trying to get rid of it.'

Please buy a wheelbarrow!

That saves a lot of backache!

And OMG that is gorgeous. Where did you find that Idea? I can see that with herbs or trailing flowers or anything!

One reason I'm glad to leave out here now full-time. We picked up the kids from school one day last week and drove up to the farm. A man had parked his car and was taking pictures. My donkeys had come up to the fence and he was petting one of them. I kind of didn't like that but he had kayaks on top of his car so my husband said, "He's just a nature lover." So I got out to get the mail and yelled, "His name is Muffin." That guy was out there for a long time.

People are so rude. I can't believe people just go on someone's property like that.

Whoops.

I have done that before.

BUT DH knows the people that own the land and animals. A HUGE cattle operation in Gaffney, right down the road from our little farm....and one of the pieces of land owned by these cattlemen has horses. One of the brothers had gotten into horses or something....the pasture for them was probably about 15-20 acres (if I am guessing right) fenced in and on a back country dirt road.

We used to go by there sometimes on Sundays and I would stop to pet them. Sometimes take apples or carrots- once they would see us stop they would come running for petting and treats.

BUT as I said, DH & the rest of our family know them. So, to me that makes a difference.

Their cattle dog wandered up to the farm one day LOL..........DH told her let's go for a ride. She jumped right on the back of the truck and he drove her home LOL!

I wish I had a metal one! We do in the barn...but here I bought me a plastic one with four wheels. Ames maybe? It is plastic but I love it for hauling stuff around like shavings to dump in the shavings compost pile! I stuck a chicken in it the other day. LOL

I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Our house is on a hill, and the back yard is rocky....I have holes too! Thanks to chickens and guineas running around. I will not even tell about me driving the one-wheeled kind. I think I can turn one of those over on flat land! DH says I need a metal wagon with four wheels

If our neighbor was still a stone mason (he had to shut down due to economy) I would have him build me one of those. HMMMMMMM wonder if he can still get me some stone at a good price... I really can't add that project. I have several ready to start this spring!

i think I should get one with 2 or 4 wheels but I can already see my Boyfriend being all "But you ALREADY have a Wheelbarrow!!" And me sayin' " But it falls over and you aren't always there to wheel it for me!!" and the argument of where to store it and price amongst other topics would follow. . . I think I will just trek across the land a few bricks at a time and save the trouble. he thinks I hoarde enough as it is. But that stuff always comes in handy!!

Y'all are keeping me from my house cleaning. Stop it!!

Who am I kidding. Its not just BYC keeping me from housework. Its these 4 ducklings and my dogs and my absolute lack of interest in getting anything done today.

Have a good day everyone!!

Robert, how many chicks finally hatched out? Did I miss the post with the final number?
We need to go with duck eggs this next time! Something with a bit more challenge!

ETA: No, that is not one of my new ladies (in my avatar). That is one of my own breeding. A pretty pullet that I really love. I did get all my new ones out in the grass today though and they are really happy!

Jeepers, I am losing my mind!
