Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Found a nice little ten minute video on my Facebook page about raising and showing "fancy" chicken breeds.

Video starts off with narration on a black background (as though the videographer forgot to turn the camera on), but then the video images suddenly appear.

Sure enough, the credits at the end of the video list the name of the cameraperson who shot the film with the camera turned off.

Nice little film though; I enjoyed it.

I am suffering through the aftermath from the night from Hell. Stomach virus hit last night and I was up the whole night with symptoms (use your imagination

). Today I have a fever that's making it hard to sleep, and scary noises coming from my stomach. I managed to keep a banana and some iced tea down, but it's been a rough day.

On a good note, I got a call from my friend saying that a customer in the coffee shop where she works saw one of my crocheted chicks and wants to order 5. I'm going to do some Easter-y colors and see if the coffee shop will display them.

Hold a good thought my friends. I'm in agony here!

Ughhhhh. Poor baby. So sorry that you've got the miseries. Try some cooked rice cereal made with water, later on try it made with skim milk. Dry toast, lukewarm weak tea. Room temperature canned or jarred pears are very easy on the stomach, too. Later on, some unsweetened applesauce. Mashed cooked sweet potato (no skin). Plain cooked white rice. Lots of fluids or pedialyte throughout the day to replace the fluids you've lost, but take small, room temperature sips so you don't stimulate your G.I. tract.

Feel better soon!

Hi y'all! I'm in West Islip (Long Island). We are picking our chickens up from Clark Farms in Ct at the end of the month. This is our first venture into raising hens!!!
