Sounds like a great day. I just placed an order with Randall Burkey. Thanks for the heads up.

Come to think of it, we didn't have chestnuts this year either. Last year we were so over the top with food, we made an effort to cut back some. Not that anyone would have noticed!

We're heading back today, but I think we're going to detour to my favorite organic farm first. Grass-fed beef, free range chicken, organic vegetables. AND I'm bringing home a jar of honey from my brother's beehives.

We set up our elfster secret santa this year but decided to focus on local businesses instead. Maybe I should get your employer's email address, Roberta. Think I could get one of my family members to get me a BMW this year??

I just remembered, I planted potatoes this year, and forgot to dig them up. Hmmm I guess I'll be outside later today rooting around to see if they are still good.

My vet in Patchogue just gave me the ok to submit her name to the list for treating chickens.
Paumanok Veterinary hospital, 639 Route 112, Patchogue, NY 11772
631-475-1312. I first started going to Dr. Dee Hensen because she is avian certified for my parrots.
She and her husband Dr. Dave Hensen are the greatest. And, they own chickens, too!

Hopefully we will find out where the real list is, but this is for all you locals.

Roberta, should we list these vet names on the first post of our thread? At least then we can direct locals to the listing. If you have a better idea let us know.

Maybe if we post a thread in the diseases and emergencies section, other areas will follow suit and the administrators will put it in as a sticky the top of the section. ??

AMAZED at how much bigger Gladys's comb and wattles got in the three days we were away. And boy did she squawk up a storm when we got home.

I waved as I passed through Putnam, Al.

Good idea about the disease and emergency topic to post the vet names.

Gladys maybe will lay and egg soon to show how much she wants you to stick close to home.
