OK folks. Long story short. Bought my 165 year old house and moved in just last Thanksgiving weekend. this happened soon after and it just didn't stop. My car is burried and stayed that way till february.

I had 3 bators going at 1 time and wow, being stuck indoors like that with 75 or so peeps.....will NEVER happen again. Meanwhile

Thankfully I had moved with only 2 adult chickens and they stayed in a shed off the back of the house. There was loterally no-place to piut them or time to build anything. People were cross cointry skiing in the streets to try to get places. Worse winter we ever had here and we broke all snow records. Phew....hope we're done with that kinda fun.

I honestly didn't think there were old homes like that on Staten Island. And there's one right next to you, was the whole block that old?

I live in Ridge, work in Smithtown, and Hubby works in Southold at the Ford dealer. Vera lives in Wading River, and works in Hauppague if you want eggs...

Oh there are some much older than mine. But I did buy it because it still has all it's original floors/walls etc. It has a lot of history and was built on a 500 acre farm.
Behind my place a couple of blpcks is the waterfront where the original inhabitants.... Lenape indians...... burial grounds are. Cannons have been found under water there as well.

I got some eggs coming! thanks anyways..............

I'll have Clyde there. Let's see how he does in a REAL show.
Last nite I rounded ALL the naughty roosters and put them in a big dog pen inside the coop.
The poor girls wouldn't go inside, it was so hormonal in there
Now all the bad boys can ride each other. I wonder what they will all look like this morning!!?
