I let Clyde stay out, even though he is the ringleader....If I want to show him, he needs the feathers on the BACK of his neck!!
But boys will be boys. Poor girls were running for their lives last nite. Very hard getting them to go in.

These two boys will be going to Sussex in the sales cages, unless someone else wants them here
The Birchen is a DOLL, very well behaved, and from what I've been hearing on the Marans thread, very good looking. I am just not interested in the color. The other is a copper splash. No takers, he goes to Izzy. With dumplings.

800mg of Ibuprofin before bed and I'm feeling fairly decent this morning.

Getting ready to be inundated by the rain today. How's the weather supposed to be out by you today, Roberta? I think we are to get 3 inches of rain out of this one. Yuch!

rain, rain go away! I feel bad for my girls on day's like today. I can't imagine wearing a down coat hiding under my house in the 100% humidity and rain we are expecting today.

NewChick, have you gone outside and felt the heaviness of the air this morning. It is disgusting!

Hopefully a cooler front is moving in behind this later on today.

Usually, September is one of my favorite months, with less humidity and lower temps. This year it feels like a tropical rainforest.

The girls are quiet this morning. They must not like the weather either. I have seen them stay on the roosts till after 10am. Who says chickens get up early? They have adapted to the good life. Now, if I install a flatscreen for them, they will have it made...

Maggie, awesome home! Older homes are great. Bet you checked to see if there was any hidden treasure in there? LOL.

When I was growing up we lived in the Bronx in a house that was built in 1854. The interior walls were thicker than my ouside walls in my house today. It even still had the original slate roof on it into the 1990s when my mom was still living there. That was when construction meant overbuilding it to last almost forever. Today a home will last about 50 years. What a shame.
