Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Never met or heard of anyone... AVOID TSC lol I prefer Farmside Supplies which is literally 200 feet away.. thats where I got my second batch of chicks from

http://farmsidesupplies.com/

Just call them and ask when they will be getting their next batch of chicks and what they will be getting...

I know Farm Plus In matamoras is getting several batches of chicks in may- june...

Wow ok. Max no longer looks like AL
Stupid phone. Thought AL was being...
an odd egg. :/

So ANYWAYS ignoring all that

I set my
Appen spitz
Cream legbar
Mottled java

So they have the same hatch date as
Suzanne's. White orpingtons.
May 25

My orps are due the 14
Ameraucana due may 2O

And I'm still high bidder on the welsummer
and barnevelders. So they will be due aprox
May 30 ( the same day I get my 7 , one day olds
from MPC)

Hajahahahaha

IoVE baby chicks.

Ninja mode on the next egg deliveries. ;)

lol Unfortunatley You cant have just one chick.. It will die without a playmate.. Second, There is no way you are going to be able to just have one... Third NY state law says you must buy at least 6

No it was just a joke. Like it's addictive, like the pusher gives you one chicken to get you hooked...Maybe I'm too close to the Catskills and the Borscht Belt humor is sometimes still in the air!

I'm seriously not looking to raise one chicken. Should have included ...jk.

I had a vision of a guy opening a trench coat with pockets of chicks on the inside. "Hey man, come here. Wanna score some chicks?"

Chicken math: I have 1 Black Australorp (Aretha), 1 Golden Comet (Shirley), 1 Black Star (Gladys), 1 Rhode Island Red (Agatha), 1 Barred Plymouth Rock (Wanda) and 1 Easter Egger (Rhonda) sleeping in the coop. 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte (Blanche), 1 Speckled Sussex (Mabel) and 1 Buff Orpington (Lola) in the brooder box. 1 Lavender Orpington (Lavinia, I hope) helping me with this post, 6 White Orpington eggs in the incubator and 9 Light Sussex eggs on the coffee table waiting to be set in the incubator. But that equals 8, which is coincidentally my Town limit.

Little Miss Lavinia seems to be feeling better. She wants nothing to do with her pouch, but is instead climbing all over my chest and burrowing under my chin. Except when she's on the keyboard, of course.

Hey I had to quit smoking to afford my new
Hatching egg habit.

Chicks are more addictive than nicotine.
NO REALLY for me anyway.

Except I spent double on eggs this month than
I would have cigarettes.

There is such a big difference between my 2
Incubators. The brinsea octogon 20 I have to add
water to one of the 2 resiviors just to keep the
humidity 30%-35%. Otherwise it drops into the teens.

The farm inovators styrofoam bator. I have not put
a drop of water in it the humidity was 50% so I took
out the 2 plugs now it's around 40% hopefully
It will drop a little more. I guess styrofoam holds
moisture ??

The humidity in my room is 55% so I guess that's
Why it doesn't need water.

Well i did weight this batch of eggs so I can see
% wt loss. I didnt do that with orps and Ameracauna
so I'll just go by that air cell chart thing.

Still 10 days till any hatch.

Suzanne, I LOVE that little chick.
