I'm away for the whole weekend. Grand kids birthday party in Brooklyn on Saturday and another in Westchester on Sunday. DH drove me 'n him to Westchester Friday afternoon and we slept there, at DD's Friday night. She then drove us and her kids to the Saturday Brooklyn party, then drove us all back to her house in Westchester so we could all wake up Sunday morning and get the house ready for Sunday 's party.
You should see the "Guidelines for caretaking of Carolyn's Chickens" that I typed up for my 16 year old neighbor chicken-sitter.
Four pages of instructions. Maybe I'll post them when I get home again late Sunday night.
Ugghhh. Twenty minutes is about my comfort limit in riding around in cars. On parkways. Yuk!!
My iPad keeps my head down and distracted. It was an hour up to Westchester, then an hour to bklyn, then an hour back up to Westchester, and later tonight an hour back home in Nassau . Not my idea of a fun weekend. But, of course the grand kids makes it SO worth the effort. And the iPad is a G-dsend.
Roberta, sorry to hear of the loss of one of your chickens. Thanks for watching over my two chickies.
It's four in the morning and the whole house is fast asleep. I just woke up and tip toed into the living room. One big bulldog snoring on the couch. I'll settle in with a cup of tea and watch a couple of tivo'd shows on tv before heading off to bed again. Lots of helium balloons to blow up later this morning. 'Night all
