Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

I need to get myself a few nice hens and then borrow a roo for a couple of  weeks.LOL

I would enjoy a project like that at this point in time.

Roberta I know ur hands are full right now. But anytime you need to hit the highway for a few hours during the weekdays when traffic is not so bad.....don't be shy. My house is a stones throw away from the highway of your choice. bring a friend!

Hmmm...at some point in the future, I wonder if us silkie lovers could consider doing our own version of a simple "co-operative" to loan and trade birds, eggs, etc to each other? My birds aren't old enough yet, but this might be a nice way to help each other. Just a thought.....

Maggie...the pure blacks are my favorite also and then buffs and whites. My daughter loves the blues and splash.

I stop in the Hicksville store (closest to me).
I also have a paint, and a blue roo that need to be rehomed.
I *think* I am going to go further with the Showgirls.
This is why I have so many, I can't decide what to keep, what to sell, and what colors.
At least with the bantams, they take up less room, so I can have MORE!

I think that is a wonderful idea Tina! I'd be willing to hatch eggs for serious breeders just to keep my hands on love of peeps going. I love blacks.....whites and then really reds in that order.
The splash/paints are really nice and catching my attention as well. Blue is beautiful....partridge as well.

Ugh I hate pics. Too much work for this old gal!

This is Brutus, he came from Abi, his parents are from Bren

This is Blue Boy, I also have his little brother, he does well at the shows, but never goes any further.
Now I have to dig for more pics.

Very nice! And congratulations on doing so well at the Mass show...

Sounds like we are "hatching" a good plan. ;) Roberta, before you rehome any roosters, can you let us know? Tina

Exactly........if i CAN ADOPT A ROO IF EVEN FOR A SHORT TIME i'd incubate eggs not a problem., Opps sorry bout those caps.

I just hate parting with roos. But I can do when necessary to a semi local guy who loves roos. He has my last 2 turkens and is hatching their eggs as of last mweek.. Getting turkens ...4 outa 5....and I am SO JEALOUS! I LOVE show girls and turkens.
