ooo ooo road trip!!  :yiipchick

Have I mentioned that this unemployment thing is starting to get to me?

I gave blood today.  I'll do anything to lose weight.  Saturday it was a haircut...

I am Queen of the road trips just say the word. except for 1 or2 long ones a year I they have to be short so I can keep coming home to the girls.

Of course! She won't ship till it cools off, but if you don't mind a road trip....
I'm not sure how often she is on BYC, I will tell her to look for a message from you.
She is in Dayville, CT 06241. I sent a note to her asking how is the best way to get in touch with each other.

She said e-mail is best....
[email protected]

I really am living up to my name. Vera has a crapload of babies, and she is much closer.
They are younger... between 1-2 months. Mostly splash and blue.
And she has been on the Sussex thread on fb, are you a member there?
If not let me know, will get you in. Just have to message Mame1616 (Mary, you know her)
And it looks like I will be taking a road trip sometime soon... I can deliver.
Yay. Chicken fairy godmother. Are you coming up for the fair show? I am on the sussex thread, but it seems that Vera decided against selling at the fair show.

Oh my gawd y'all it is too hot! I ended up picking a mess of produce out of the garden today plus there was the CSA pick-up yesterday so I just wrapped up about 4 hours of produce chopping, cleaning, and cooking - mostly done, hoping I don't have to cook at all for the rest of the week though. I am beat 100% and need to lay down now. I still have about 10 lbs of cucumbers to contend with and don't get me started on the zucchini that are growing as we speak in the dark. I have one plant alone that is responsible for most of these buggers, it's like some sort of crazed zucchini vending machine gone awry. Of course no yellow squash plants are being productive, just the green and white stripes.

None of the birds wanted to go swimming today, of course. They seemed to stay cool anyway. That $20 fan from Costco is paying for itself and then some.

I have a question Mags, what happens if you lose power while the incubator is on?

Does it seem these temps and weather are making your garden go crazy? I have so many tomatoes and it's only Mid July! My plants look like Decorated Christmas trees!! My Pepper plants are literally falling over from the weight of all the peppers!

My girls have all dug themselves holes under the huge forsythia bush out my back door, and they all stay there until I walk out with a treat.

Today I have to go to Ridge to pick up free Mohair yarn I found on Freecycle, then pick up my son from Football conditioning training, then buy more hay and chicken feed then clean the coop and hen house. The BCMs seem to be having a moult. There's black feathers everywhere! I'm considering collecting the nice ones and making jewelry with them. They are really pretty, and teenage girls love that stuff. I hope to be done with all of this by noon, but it seems in the heat I'm moving in slow motion.

Rosie, make sure you stay hydrated with all the running around! My tomato plants are heavy too and the cucumbers are going wild. Still no usable zucchini, though. Something funky is happening with my plants - I think I'm going to have to let the garden go fallow next year. Too hot to be outside working on it lately.

I'm gonna crank the a/c in the living room and clean in there today. Might try to get a back massage - bad lower back pain.

Bobby's working again today. But tonight is the Fireman's Fair parade and we're going to the Fair for dinner - Bobby loves the sausage and pepper heroes. Laura's working the dunk tank. hehehe. Good chance to get even for childbirth...
