Oh also the blue wheaten americana's I hatched came from turquoise eggs. Beautiful and sweet birds.
JerseyHen has a Roo and 2 girls which will be laying soon if your interested in them instead or in addition to the CL.

I will post a pic of the CL eggs, when they arrive,so you can see the color (tomorrow i think). I will try and dig up a pic of the eggs the americana's came from too.

Americana eggs I hatched. The pic doesn't really show the color right though.

Those ameraucanas are turning out so pretty and they have really nice temperments as well. I will let everyone know when they start to lay. They have not started to pink up yet or squat, so we are a ways off yet.

I absolutely love my Americana. So sweet. When I move upstate
I'm def gonna raise a flock of them. I like that they aren't huge either.
Nice size for my backyard. My orp and Cochin are so big already they
take up lots of room in the little coop.

I really am bummed I can't make it to New England this year, I feel like there is still so much learning I have to do. I can't believe I didn't think to check the dates when I scheduled this Florida trip, argh! I would even consider moving Florida but we are going with my husband's sisters and their families to Mouse World so you know that's all booked up already.
Ok, ok, ok, I might take a cream legbar if it's a pullet. I can't deal with anymore rooster rehoming right now though. Put me like last on the list though, so it's unlikely that there would be that many pullets left-over, right? John told me that he thought the two banties I have a are "waste" since their eggs will be small. ! I guess he's more into the chickens than I thought now. I see the bantams as insurance for the bigger girls though since no-one will doubt they are pets once they see those two.
I am at the Bronx Zoo today alone in the rain for my writing class. We got to feed giraffes by hand. Quite possibly one of the most amazing things ever.....

Ok I'll put you on the list.
I am giving priority to those who want Roos so they
can breed them in the spring and pass along more babies
to our friends :) eventually we can all have Cream Legbars !
Haha I have become a cream legbar enabler.

My silkie bantam lays a nice size egg for her size.
I was surprised expected much smaller. I would say
it's a small not pewee at all.
