Exactly......
I have to laugh, I've been around rifles/guns most of my life. My dad taught me how to shoot usiong BB and pellet guns early on.
My ex-FIL would go into Canada for moose and be gone for 2 weeks. Bear, dear, turkey you name it. He had the meats butchered up and it was great having the freezer full come those long and cold Adirondack winters. He was a good 'ol sports-man. He even taught me how to fly fish.
And yes feathers sell very well from fancy pheasants..... as I bought some at that NJ farm.
My son Chris and I bought my dh a georgous Remington rifle about 8-9 years ago. Well he shoots just fine..does the gun range stuff with Chris etc.......but tried his hand at deer hunting and Turkey season. Just plain doesn't like it.
So we fish.
I'm just fine with that. I'd rather shoot clay pigeons myself. I am not good at that though. Better at targets.
I do miss a good venison stew though.
