Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

I have a neighbor that works for the town/ garbage man/ in a different county.
As soon as he flips on the bathroom light at 3am to take a shower.... they all start crowing.
Ugh.

Suzanne, another person interested asked "free?"
I want to make sure (I don't know this one, but has all the same fb friends) it's ok to answer Yes.

Let me reiterate. 4:52 am.

Free is fine.

It would have been nice to get a couple of bucks for him, but I just need him gone.

Just checking. I would love to ask for a few dollars for the food to raise him, but.....

Woodstock. CT About 1 hr from the New London ferry.
Been up three times in the past month.
But how will we fit Mags blue boy into the trip?
Hmmmmm....
Oh Roberta not to worry. I can re-home him 1-2-3 when he crows eventually or even before. :)) He is gonna be a big boy too. wow is he growing fast. He is so TALL.

Christine I have an answer for you about pheasants: -
Yes you can house pheasants and chickens together.   In the fly pen we have chickens, pheasants and ducks all together and they do well.
Pheasants have to be penned up or else they will leave.   The pheasants we release for hunts do come back to the area around the fly pen because we leave food out for them.   We gave a few to my aunt and once she let them out of the pen she never saw them again.   They aren't a friendly bird at all, unless you get the expensive ornamental pheasants but even those still need to be in an enclosure or they fly off.  As far as geese go, I don't know anything about them.

So there you go. Hope that helps!

I have a beautiful family of phesants here in Highland NY, i believe the male is a surviver of the pheasant hunt last year. My neighbor owns 300 acers of hunting preserve right behind my house. Last year he set up a pheasant hunt in the field right next door..they didnt release the pheasants, but had them in cages and when the dog ran up to the cage it released the bird. But now i have 1 male and 2 hens that hang around my coop which is awesome, cause they are beautiful birds.

Sounds so nice to have them livng close by and hanging round on your property.

Dogs running up to cages and the birds being freed for easy sport.......ugh..... Kinda like canned hunting eh? Not much chance of missing the shot.
