21 years ago my sister had her daughter named Jamie who had Down's. My golden retriever Casey Jones treated her the very same way. They kinda grew up together. We lost Jamie at 10 years old and casey as well.That made me cry.....bittersweet.

I am trying the deep litter method this year, so I just keep tossing bedding on top. Looks clean that way. Doesn't smell because it is frozen solid. Problem is that is is getting so deep it will be hard to open the door soon. I am not looking forward to climbing in through the pop door with a pickaxe.

I do the deep litter as well and it works till a gpood warm day po[ps up like klast weeks near 65 here. I shoveled out the coop pretty quick and was thankfull for the oppurtunily cause as you mentiopn....the SHirT gets deep.
