Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

So, Kairi slept pretty well IN the bed with me. Good thing I have a large keister because he was kneading it all night. :lau

The chicks, who I call Cuddles and Snuggles for lack of imagination these days (I will probably change the names-I just need to have a moment to think) slept very well, and they're both such happy little things. The Bantam hides under the BCMs wing, but isn't really THAT much smaller. Very sweet babies.

It's Little league opening day, so it's all day for me-Opening ceremony and parade with my PeeWee team, then Sean is umping a game at 10, Joe's game is at 12, then Mac's game (my pee wees!) game is at 4. Honestly, did I need to do anything this weekend? No. I'm sure I didn't.

Have a great day!!

So glad the kitty is happy and doing better! Great news!
as for the other, well, the things we do for our kids!

What was I thinking with all these chicks...
I have to bring the camera out side with me.
They jump ontop and over one another. They are very entertaining .like I have time to watch them.you get sucked in before you know it a half hour has past.Fuzzy butt TV..

I hatched out quail once and they were something to see! They were the size of bumble bees and they DID pop outta those tiny shells like a small explosion.:celebrate  Have fun cause they sure are cute. Your daughter must be going crazy!

They are so cute, but so skittish. My dd loves them and, oddly, so does my dh (who labels all thing bird as "your problem"). He even whistles to them in bobwhite.

Sucked me right in there with you, or was it the other way around? Good thing we don't live closer, we would be in even more trouble. When we are done swapping around i will have my 27 adults, 40+ chickies, 30+ quail, and whatever else i hatch out this year. I am going to need a sales cage at the show... and a bigger property.

Well the girls have gone with fuchsia and yellow primrose instead of pansies this year in their flower box..
I got 8 eggs from 8 adult girls today...

I actually have some good news. We had one cute Nankin hatch in Suzanne's incubator! We have 3 more eggs that have pipped (silkies and nankins). I told my hubby that if we have live chicks tomorrow, I'm going out to buy a bottle of champagne!

My favorite little chickie!
You should be such a proud mama!

Yeah, what's with that "your problem" or "its your hobby" stuff? My hubby does that too at times.

My husband does the same. He does however, not mind eating the eggs.

What's the verdict on the chicks, Tina? All is well and a bottle of champagne on the horizon? I truly hope so!

I'm going to go outside and enjoy this gorgeous day today-gotta up my vitamin D, to achieve the level of spring fever I'd like to reach.

Nice Pic Donna - at first I asked myself was it the dogs or the shirt did you pick up - or all three? LOL I used to keep my horses over in Laurel Hollow. I have always wanted to just sit and watch the osprey's but never get the chance. Someday I will dedicate some time.
Our chicken coop is underway - the cemement standards just went in. Today we build the base.

Have a great day everyone.
