Mine are hopping in and out. My DH actually shoveled the yard!! so they could wander about. They are happy girls...and two roos looking to rehome. Sigh.

They have their annual spring heirloom festival on May 25th from 10 - 6. I am going. It is the weekend after the sussex show (May 17). Comstock also has a fall festival on October 5th. I will probably go to that one too, unless it conflicts with the sussex show or the fall festivals up here.
Carol, glad you made the ferry! BTW, do the easy peasies need to be trellised? I am working on my early spring garden and am working out where to put them. That is a big bag o' peas!!!
This thread has been soooooo slooooooow the past few months. I hope everyone is ok. Is Al still on here?
Time to dig out the coop

Those burgers look great!!! We should have joined one another for lunch, we went to a Malaysian restaurant and had duck. It was also outstanding, but it would have been nice to visit longer. Next time. It was a long drive, but not an unpleasant one. It took me about 2 1/2 hours.
That's what mine looks like too. They took a quick walk out to the heated waterer and then just stayed in the coop. I change the water in their coop every morning and keep a small tub of feed in there also.
They've gone back to not eating much and no more eggs... At least I know it's just the weather.
It was great to meet Carol, Loretta and Misty and see Roberta at the show. And to meet Christine at the seed store. A fabulous weekend. We then had lunch in Wethersfield at the Lucky Inn and boy were those hamburgers great
Those (of course we had one each!) gave us enough energy for the two hour drive home.
That Wheaton old English is one nasty Little thing.. Can't wait to see what happens when she is put with the rest of the flock.
DD must be itching for spring as much as I am. She "recycled" the plastic clamshell container that our Olivia's spring mix comes in by filling the bottom with those peat pellets, reconstituting them, and raiding the seed box for stuff to plant. She has a little garden in the house now. So cute. Now we are going to do more of them. And they stack!!! What a great little idea for starting seedlings. She even started some lettuce for me to eat so I can "stay healthy". Anyway, just sharing the idea. I hope everyone is holding up with the cold. I feel like I have been hibernating.
