Hello all, I live in southern orange county and we are looking to add to our flock. We just wanted to see if anyone wanted to split some chicks?(either from tractor supply or a feed store that you are comfortable with) We are only looking for 2 chicks to add to our flock of 4 girls, and as you know,NY has a 6 chick minimum. Just let me know, and I could meet up with you. Thanks.

two days ago my friend Tony and I were in the yard measuring for another cold frame when a huge red tailed almost landed on us.Tony almost fell to the ground it came in that low.my birds were scared to death. Took a head count and little Jewel was missing.I looked all over and figured he took her in a first pass. I went over into my neighbors yard and she was under a shrub. She flew over my 6 foot fence.Tony said its like being on Wild World of Kingdom when he comes to my yard. The cold frame is beautiful.....

putting onion sets in next week so it better warm up.

forgot one thing: my little frizzle is laying eggs smaller than quail eggs ; 4 so far and none of them have yolks...Whats up?

Still working on it, it has been too cold to cut the hole in the wall for the window. I do have the bedroom painted though and am doing the hallway this weekend. Might as well take advantage of being stuck inside.
