The Big E poultry show was great. We spent over two hours there and stopped for ice cream at Friendly's exit 16 I-84 on the way back home!

Had a great time too! Wish I had met you at some point. I was there from 10-2, cheering on Roberta and talking up the website. Oh yeah, and drooling over all the breeds I now want to have. Good thing it's too cold to work on the coop or I have a feeling the limit would be breached. Look at this beauty:

And this guy was Mr. Personality. Sat in my lap very sweetly.

I'd like to see a hawk try to make off with this bird:

My personal favorite was Roberta's boy Clyde. Best cockadoodle doo ever!

I wish you could have stopped by the table. I would love to meet everyone on the thread, including our leader, Al.
Maybe next time.....

I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I wish you and your family the best.

I can't make the poultry show. My aunt had a massive heart attack. She's on life support with no brain activity. They are gonna take her off it when the rest of the family gets here from out of state. I hope you all have a good show and I guess I'll meet you next time.
Has anyone seen the documentary Food Inc. ? I rented it from Netfix. Scary. Makes me want to raise more than just chickens.

Roberta, no leaders here. I just simply started the thread. Wish I could have been there to meet you, Suzanne and the others who went. Had to be great seeing all these interesting birds. Yours are especially awesome looking. Hopefully, we'll all be able to meet soon at an upcoming show. I'd really like to go to one.

Al, good to see you on the thread. I was just thinking this morning that it's been awhile. I was looking at the thread for the conference - some really great pics there. How have you been feeling these days? I'm facing possible shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff. Still waiting for a firm diagnosis. In the meantime, Rhonda's been keeping to herself - the other girls are ostracizing her somewhat, but I'm hoping that will change when she starts laying.

Gave my mother a dozen yesterday and she was thrilled!

Sorry I couldn't make it to the show! Love the buff orp roo, and would love it even better if I could have him in my flock! Looks like it was fun! I weighed one of my buffs yesterday and she topped the scale at 7.5 lbs. Whew! Large Marge sure is a biggie! Wonder how much the roo weighed?

Do any of your get your feed from a local mill? I found one in cochecton, but they only do 1/3 ton as the smallest delivery. I am looking for ways to cut down on feed costs, but that is too much for me.

We did walk by the BYC table over against the wall just past the beer stand. We were at the show from about 11:15 to just past 2PM. I was the fat balding 56yo gent with my two cute daughters in tow (11 years blond hair, 14 years dark hair).
