I love oatmeal. What time are you serving it?

Bobby finished framing the footing for the coop. We need help getting the plywood, but I finished the drawings and we walked around the "site" and talked through some details. We love having a project!

I'm taking a day off tomorrow. The dog needs to go to the groomer. What are they gonna do, fire me?

I eat oatmeal every morning. The best is the organic steel cut oats from Trader Joe's. It has to cook 1/2 hour (it's the real deal), so I make a big batch and reheat it. Or eat it cold at school. LOVE IT!! But I'm not sharing it with the girls. They get Cheerios...

I think I'm going to do a chicken hatching project for my class. We did ducks last year, but this way I can order the eggs I want and keep the chickens. I believe the school has incubators (my old school did) so I can set everything up in the classroom, hatch the chicks for the kids and take the chickens home. Whaddya think?

Any volunteers to take the roos that will inevitably be part of the hatch? I'm thinking of Lavender Orpingtons (because Roberta got me hooked on them) or Barred Hollands.

I just really want to watch the chicks hatch and then take them through to adulthood.

Can you imagine what I'll be like when I'm unemployed??
