Random question: is it ok for chickens to scratch in compost piles if there's coffee grounds in there? I know coffee is good for compost, but is it ok for hens?
My understanding is that by the time coffee grounds reach the compost heap, they're pretty benign. But I'd ask someone who really knows.
Well it seems as though I had nothing to worry about with the BO. She isn't coughing anymore. Thanks to all for sharing your concern.
I thought the perches made it, they brought the thing to a new level. I am bringing some birds out to it today!
