Ok we will see what hatches :D I'm not allowed to have a Roo, so it would be nice If I can set someone local up with a breeding pair I SO wish I could breed them but my family and neighbors would kill me I think.

Yeah. Voice of reason.

Yep. Coming from someone that has an incubator full of eggs, just got 8 more eggs today (Japanese bantam, so Georgie can get a girlfriend)
I won another bunch on e-bay this afternoon. 18 eggs, bantam Cochins. Uh Huh, reason.
Insanity, I tell you!

Now cut it out, you guys!

You've got me thinking LavOrp eggs again. Roberta!! Where are you? I need the voice of reason!
Sorry. It is a dumb idea to hatch them cause I can only Keep one girl, but I'm obsessed with them! They lay a beautiful blue egg, and the chicks are auto sexing the boys have a white or yellowish dot on their head and The girls look like chipmunks. So anyway you made a good decision I make bad decisions lately The worst was the large march hare (Alice in wonderland) Tattoo on my leg. So be careful. Once you start down The dark side of the path you could end up with crazy Tatoo's !!!;)

My latest tattoo design is at the shop awaiting my arrival.

I may be joining you in the hatching world of chickens. Maybe we can trade a LavOrp for a Cream Legbar.

Bobby framed two more walls in the coop. I'm planning all sorts of luxuries for the girls!

Random question: is it ok for chickens to scratch in compost piles if there's coffee grounds in there? I know coffee is good for compost, but is it ok for hens?

My understanding is that by the time coffee grounds reach the compost heap, they're pretty benign. But I'd ask someone who really knows.

Well you're the expert on smoking and chickens! lol I guess a little cup of joe isn't going to hurt them more than that kid's cigarette.

My girls are SO excited about the chicks coming next month, btw! Can't wait myself. Already have a teeny brooder box set-up, ready and waiting.

I thought the perches made it, they brought the thing to a new level. I am bringing some birds out to it today!

Very pretty! I already started collecting nice sticks for perches. Tonight my oldest (4) went and got one to get a ball out from underneath the couch after her aunt suggested she find a stick. Lol, I think she meant a broomstick - but no, we have real sticks in the house.

Take a picture with your pigeons on it!
