Before you finish the walls, run an electrical outlet to it, up high so it's not near them.
In the winter, we just run an extension cord outside, so we can plug whatever they need.
Fan in summer, too.

Roberta, that is what I did also. I put a 4 outlet (fully covered GFCI protected) outlet about 5 feet off the ground and also put a pool type light on a programmable timer on the ceiling. I use the power all the time, heated water bowl, shop vac to clean pine shavings and now I have the brooder coop next to the main coop and use the power from the main coop to run the brooder lamps. The coop is looking fantastic Suzanne.

Bobby put all the windows in the coop, and most of the plywood walls are up. Next: insulation and electric.

And today, the Hovabator arrived!
