Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

We're gonna skip Saturday at Stormville.  We've done it to death.  So the new plan is to head to Danbury Conn on Sunday morning, stay over there, then head to Lee Mass on Monday morning.  We're staying Monday and Tuesday night in a b&b, so we need a cheap hotel in Danbury.  Probably do the Holiday Inn or some such.  I love road trips!

We got shed tickets because it's James Taylor.  If it were the Symphony, I wouldn't mind the lawn, although I've done that for JT too.

If you were doing lawn tickets, i was going to suggest bringing champagne w/glass flutes, candles, tablecloth and flowers. That is a real treat and special way to listen to the symphony. But, it sounds like you already know the ropes. Enjoy, relax and hopefully destress! I'll be listening to JT on the radio and thinking of you.

Ugh it's HOT. I put a bowl of ice water out for
the girls. My bichon is too funny, looks like he
is dunking for apples to get an ice cube. His
head is soaking wet. The girls did get some of
the water, I stayed out Untill I saw them drinking
Then I took ice cube boy back inside.

Has anyone tried the free app instagram for your smart phone? Such cool pics and effects from it. Look at this of my trumpet vine out front. Still trying to get one of our hummingbird visitor.

Last day tomorrow. Can't say I'm sorry to see this year end. All my paperwork is done, classroom packed up, ready to roll. Race ya to the parking lot!

Now that I have plenty of free time courtesy of Gov. Cuomo, I'd love to schedule some meet-up time. Rosie, I love your sense of humor. I think we'd have a lot of laughs together. And Maggie, I'd love to come see your house and beg a few quilting lessons from you. I'll even bring you a crocheted silkie chick as soon as I finish her.

Heather, any chance of reviving our zoo plans?

Where are all the guys? I know Caleb's away, but come on...

I left all the girls out free-ranging for about 3 hours tonight. I took the dog crate out of the coop because it was freaking out the big girls. I sat and watch them go to bed: first the big girls, then the little girls and finally the babies. So cute watching the four little babies standing at the coop door cheeping before they figured out to jump up and in.

I hope the babies are asleep in the cozy corner. I'm too wiped out to go check.
