Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

I think we should at least post her story on one of the Silkie threads.

Gunnar; beautiful bird

My son Adam has been home since Monday and every time i turn around he is outside taking pictures of the girls. He is loving the fact that the Polish youngster is letting him pet it. I don't have the heart to tell him that I think (know) its a rooster .He told me that he thinks it is so cool that we have chickens roaming around the back yard.I love when he is home...

We had the most fantastic time aboard the Minehaha (sp?) on Lake George last night. The weather held, the band was awesome and the fireworks spectacular. I even taught my niece how to make a crochet chain (the first step). Right now we're hanging out in our luxury hotel room before hitting the road back home. On tap: a stop at McEnroe Farms in Millerton to pick up some organic produce and grass fed beef. And of course, stops at every open antique store we can find!

This has been a great trip.

Glad you had a great time Suzanne. We loved cruising on the Minnehaha. I remember when it was only a paddle wheel boat. They added a diesel and a propeller in 1999 and made it 34 ft. Longer. The Lac du Saint Sacrement had a nice dinner cruise, too. Lake George is such a cool place and not far away. It's been about 7 years since we've been there. Probably time to go back.

Sounds perfect to me! Love the Lake George region. I have a banner from there my dad got as a child on vacation. Passing by it each summer to go to Saranac Lake lets me know I am only 1 1/2 hours away from Kiwassa Lake which we stay on. Ahhhh.......priceless memories. You had such good weather as well.

Actually, Al, it's not. The village itself was sort of scary: lots of loud, drunk people wandering around. It felt like a riot waiting to happen. I guess it's because it was the 4th. I've been there other times and it's not so bad. But the boat ride was awesome. My brother-in-law's band is terrific. We even did some dancing!

I was thinking about the Silkie thread, But I am afraid to divulge such personal information about someone on the thread. Still thinking about how I want to do it.
It's not me, and she is quite well known, so I don't know how to handle it.
I did put something in the Showgirl thread. Along with a miserable story about one of my babies.
Ugh.
The ivy, or whatever it is, isn't too terrible.
Loyds shoulder is on the mend, they just put him in a sling and sent him home.
I think he has finally figured out how p*ssed I am with him, and he has been pretty good.
Still not working.... but they said about 2 weeks for him.
Me,

still trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up.
