There is a guy in Deerpark NY who needs to downsize his flock. He has 3 Blue Jersey Giants and 5 Black Cochins (one might be a rooster) that are about 6 months. He is asking 80 for the bunch, or 20 a hen. He posted his phone number on the hudson valley chickens page. PM me and I will send you his number.

I'm getting paranoid about Beatrice, my white Orpington. She's looking a little rooish to me.

She hatched 5/25 - just over 8 weeks ago.

For comparison, here's Leon. Same hatch date.

And Lavinia, who is also an Orpington, hatch date 5/1.

And the beautiful Lola, another Orpington, hatch date 4/11.


As you can see, I spent some time with the girls and my camera. And finally, with a nod to Sesame Street, here's today's photo entitled "One of These Things is Not Like the Others..."

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in awhile but things
here are ok, just feeling kinda blah. My EE and silkie
are 5 months old now so I start the waiting pains for
the first egg. My 2 month olds are as big as my silkie
already. I miss having them in the house . Gonna
start catching up on the posts I missed. Hugs.

Hey, Karen, welcome back! A bunch of us are planning to go to the Jersey fair on Aug. 7 (next Tuesday). I think some others are going the 4th (Saturday). Queens Fair is 9/22-23 I think. I have to take Certification exams on the 22nd.
