Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

A big rubber chicken as a hat? Bah-I'll bet SO many other groups will do that. Gotta think of something original. Glue a chicken to our shoulder and wear an eye patch!

I'm definitely coming to the Queens fair. I used to live around the block on 75th and 257th. In a galaxy far, far away... If anyone wants to hitch a ride, we can car pool!

I can't come til Sunday - and I have to get that day off from Sylvan. I have two certification exams on Saturday. One at 8 am and one at 1 pm. Figured I'd get them both outta the way at once...

Good Morning All , well I got rid of 3 kids yesterday.
Loretta is going to take 2 or 3 next week then I'll be down to 7 babies and the big girls
Im keeping 3 or 4 babies- Quick Suzanne do the chicken math for me. It reads like a test question.
Between the rain and the humidity I feel like I'm in the amazon.right along with all the Mosquitos biting me ever time I walk outside.
Going to a tag sale this morning, wish me luck. Like I need one more thing in this house.
Stay dry.

Good morning!
Talk about rain....... Wow......we're getting soaked and its in the 70s here. LOVE IT!
They sprayed here for the mesquitos 2 weeks ago and I see no difference. They are ferocious this year.

Hmmmmm......what to do today. Sew....clean....or can..........maybe a little bit of each.

I bid on and won a ton of interesting yarns on ebay. Don't worry. I'm good at yarn math also!

I'm planning some computer work, crocheting and baking up a storm. No pun intended.

I love cool rainy days.

Let's play "spot the D'Uccle" -

she likes hiding in the okra forest. Yesterday she did a disappearing act for a few hours after being scared off by the dog. She can really fly, and poor thing hasn't really bonded with anyone yet, my fault, I'm so busy, but she did manage to reappear before the thunderstorm did and we got her inside. Too much drama around here!

I didn't make these, but aren't they just adorable?! All I told her was that I have a garden, and chickens, and this is what she came up with. I was so hoping for a little chicken but the wee peas in the pod make up for that. Super cute!

Yesterday, I spent my birthday in the emergency room with my very first kidney stone! Ouch! Not a pleasant experience at all. Even morphine didnt do much for the pain, just made me really dopey. I've been groggy and in "la-la land" since then waiting for this stone to pass. I can barely keep one eye open while typing. Unfortunately, this morning when my hubby opened up the coop, he discoverd one bird missing! A silver laced Wyandotte, around 4 months old. Last night after the ER visit, my hubby closed up the coop for me, but did not count heads. We have no idea what happened to the bird, but I'm sure she is gone. I suspect that she may have hopped up onto the 6' fence in a small portion of the run that is not yet covered. I think she literally " flew the coop". :/

Oh no! What a rotten birthday present! :( Most women hope for a different type of stone on their birthday. Glad your girl came home on her own though.
