Let's play "spot the D'Uccle" -

she likes hiding in the okra forest. Yesterday she did a disappearing act for a few hours after being scared off by the dog. She can really fly, and poor thing hasn't really bonded with anyone yet, my fault, I'm so busy, but she did manage to reappear before the thunderstorm did and we got her inside. Too much drama around here!

I didn't make these, but aren't they just adorable?! All I told her was that I have a garden, and chickens, and this is what she came up with. I was so hoping for a little chicken but the wee peas in the pod make up for that. Super cute!
Those look too good to eat Heather! yummy!

Yesterday, I spent my birthday in the emergency room with my very first kidney stone! Ouch! Not a pleasant experience at all. Even morphine didnt do much for the pain, just made me really dopey. I've been groggy and in "la-la land" since then waiting for this stone to pass. I can barely keep one eye open while typing. Unfortunately, this morning when my hubby opened up the coop, he discoverd one bird missing! A silver laced Wyandotte, around 4 months old. Last night after the ER visit, my hubby closed up the coop for me, but did not count heads. We have no idea what happened to the bird, but I'm sure she is gone. I suspect that she may have hopped up onto the 6' fence in a small portion of the run that is not yet covered. I think she literally " flew the coop".

Well Happy Birthday Tina and I sure hop you get to enjoy this beautiful day!

My son had a stone last year which made him pull his car over and brought him to his knees on his way to work. Ugh, scared the crap outta me when he made it home and we called an ambulance while he rolled on the floor. I thought he had appendicitis. Agonizing and the morphine just took off the edge. I never want to visit "that place". ugh.....feel better!

Well yesterday it was just too nice out to stay home inside so we took off for the Jersey Shore and my old stomping grounds as a child, Seaside Park. It was an easy 1 hour ride and just a beautiful day down there. We strolled the boardwalk for hours stopping to have a pint and a bite every now and then.Bought salt water tsaffy and just enjoyed the sunshine with no humidity for a change.
On our way home we stopped by The Crabs Claw where I used to go to eat when I lived down there......and had pots of steamed crabs/shellfish/corn on the cob and red potatoes. Oh boy......talk about good.
Having grown up down there from about age 8 to 27 it sure has changed over those years and is so much nicer now! Cleaned up a lot.I like it better now than when I was a kid.

Kidney stones are worse than childbirth. I had one once (only once, Thank God) and the pain got so bad while I was driving home that I had to keep talking out loud to myself to keep from passing out.

Have fun sorting throught them! I think that ebay is the best for finding reasonable prices for fabrics/yarns etc.

You have to watch the shipping charges. But I found some good deals. One thing I'm bidding on is yarn made from recycled sari silk. It looks gorgeous. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works up.

So sorry about your SLW that's gone missing. I'm a bit behind in the posts so I don't know if she has been found yet.

Losing a pet, then going to the ER, what a way to spend a birthday. Happy Birthday, anyway. Hope you were able to get some joy out of it.

Kidney stones are the worst. No one who has not experienced them can truly understand. I had my first when I was around 50. One event lasted 36 hours. No sleep, loads of vicodin and just paced. What a relief when it's over.
