Soda. BUT when I was young we called it Pop. I think it started in California and spread. Oh, if you live in Washington, you blame everything on Cali. You know, Valley Girl talk. Like and omg, and whatever. Or whatev.

There is no "r" in Washington! It isn't "Warshington" but even people from eastern Washington will say that sometimes. Eastern Washington is practically a different state. And it's Oregon, not Or-a-gon, like you hear on TV sometimes. And I'm the only person I know that loves Sweet Tea.
My dad says crick, not creek, even though he's never been south of Oregon.
I notice that southern people have a tendency to call me sweetie or hon or darlin. Up here if someone (not from the south) does that, it's probably condescending. I listened to a conversation between some southern people about how "up here they say high school wrong!" We say high school. They say hiiiiiiiigh school. Almost haaa school.
I love this thread. All I get up here is a lot of "eh" and "queue" and meters, not yards. No I don't live in Canada, but give me 45 minutes and I can be in Vancouver BC.
