We just took in a rescue duck today. Someone had dumped her at a park in town. She’s super sweet and affectionate

slight case of Bumblefoot andher legs are a little week

she wasn’t able to walk or get out of the water when found and nearly drowned.

God bless you. I don’t understand how anyone can do such things.. and to an affectionate creature too, suggests some serious human attachment. Good luck with the bumbles, they sure are a pain.

She totally is comfortable around people. She say in my wife’s lap on the drive home and my wife would just softly pet her neck and chest. And I would reach. Over occasionally and scratch the top of her head and she was so content. If we both stopped petting her she would quack at us til one of us pet her again heh. So she is comfortable around people.

Well done. I would suggest immediately starting with Niacin supplementation. If you have drakes, monitor to assure that they don't start abusing her. Good luck with her rehabilitation.
