Speckled Sussex? Gender? 7.5 weeks old

Maybe... I asked this same question about my SS genders here a while back. The combs on SS seem to get big early, but both of mine turned out to be girls. I'm not good at the gender guessing on some breeds though.

I have to agree that they look like a really cool SS mix with something else... partridge maybe? I have only seen SS that have whole bodies that look like your babies' neck speckles. They're really pretty though.

I disagree, they look partidge (for hatchery birds) before the spots come in.

Pretty birds OP's birds also. These look quite a bit different from the OP's birds though. Hers seem to have definite lacing or penciling and barring and seem older than your birds pictured there with less white on the backs, wings, and tails.

She’s a SS. Hatchery quality, still a great bird. Very vigorous, foraging queen, but a lil too flighty. Named Nutmeg.

I got these two supposedly Speckled Sussex chicks. However, someone called the species into question due to the lack of speckling in the body. Do they look like Speckled Sussex? Can you tell if they are roos or pullets? Any insight is appreciated!
