Speckled Sussex/RSL

Yesterday I hatched this chick from a SS rooster and I'm pretty sure the mom is a RSL. Can anyone tell me if it's a boy or girl? I assume boy because I believe RSL boys are all light in color. The red face on this one is throwing me off.

Sex links are a one time deal, bred from specific parents that will produce sex linked offspring. Sex links themselves will not produce sex link chicks. So, as previously stated, you have to wait and judge by the usual methods.
