I take it you have SS. Do they lay pretty well? I have heard different stories on them. Just wondering how well yours lay. Thanks!

Yes, I've heard they were smaller..and I am used to that larger egg from the others, but she is so pretty. I am finding as I come back to some of my older posts, that some of my pictures are missing..and I haven't deleted them. I wonder if it when they did that update on uploading pictures.

She has been laying since 6.10.12 and i have been getting an egg a day from her, on average. And she's super sweet.

jom, she is pretty. She's looking right at that camera..or you for treats? Does she follow you around and talk? Mine does, the whole time I'm out there. She is very friendly. And is now laying well too. She started last month too.

THis is why I favor the SS; our hens are right there waiting for treats while I weed. My son named one Grassgirl and she will jump up 2 feet for a treat.

Egg #2 just went into the incubator.

She was just posing for the camera. But yes, she loves treats. And they both follow me around the yard while i point out grasshoppers to them, they seem to love this little game. All i have to do is point my finger at a grasshopper or cricket and she knows exactly what I'm doing.

I find the SS more interactive than any of my other chickens. More like a companion dog.
