Speckledhen - Day 21 6 babies & 2 Suede Babies!

LOL well it was not marked but I did not know if you had figured them out yet. Things change in 3 weeks and ya never know. But the smallest one has a good pip and is taking a rest now so i expect that one to come in the next few hours.

Meanwhile three babies are in the brooder, 1 in the bator. I keep going and talking to the one in the bator so it is not 'alone'...it is a ubber friendly chick already.

Ya know...I distinctly remember my GSDs giving birth and it was not this nerv wracking...LOL come to think of it, the horses, pigs, goats, rabbits...none of them were like this.

Maybe it is because I want these so bad. They know I am waiting for them and they are holding out.

I saw cat fur on the corner of the bator this morning and the roomie had to hide his cats from me. I was gonna skin something!

he said...they were just looking at the babies...I smiled and said...they will not be able to see ever again if they go near that bator again...got it? They are now locked in his room.

Well, we spend most of our time in the LR, so it's like chicken TV. Yep, I'd second the hardware cloth top on the brooder.

I cannot because the cord comes out the top besides..the cats are locked in his room...inside kitty carriers. he knows I am serious, I see a cat, it gets chucked outside!

The idiot was holding the cats up to see inside the bator this morning while I was showering...they left fur and I exploded. Looking back on the explosion I now understand what my husband means when he tells Cheyenne..."avoid your mother's wrath". It was not pretty.

I am so happy for you and as we all know good things come too those who wait (not that we have much choice here right?). so now that you have waited you will get a suede duplicate just like you want. You have my word on it LOL
