It wants a mommy! They always go to the very worst places in the bator, LOL.

I have the brooder all set up and am getting the temp right in it...I just raised the heat lamp a little it was 104 degrees in the brooder so I am letting it cool and see if I need to raise it some more.

I am not sure what eggs I grabbed Cyn..baby #1 looks like a BA...black with a white fuzzy butt. Baby #2 is an unknown at this point for sure. LOL I know what baby 3 is..Kira's!

Not a one. My 2 other "cochin" eggs are pipped, 1 delaware pipped...I think another delaware was pipping but the other three have rolled it around and I cannot see the pip now. But the orps are just sitting there sleeping!

(Sorry about that darn phone--my DH has been talking to his brother lots more lately. The corded one has a slender handset that hurts my wrist alot and a plug into the handset that is loose, or I'd have switched to that one.)

I love that #2 barred. That is just the cutest thing ever.

I have the little bully in the brooder and s/he took some water from my finger but will not go near that big scarey waterer. LOL S/he wanted to sit in my hand and sleep. Meanwhile, EE #2 and the delaware are chilling in the bator for a bit longer...I would like to wait and take them both out together so no one is in the bator alone.

I removed the three shells but left all the little pieces and lost very little humidity doing so. I keep running back and forth between the brooder checking on the little one there to make sure it is not in the waterer or anything else silly and running back to the bator to check on the other two.

I had a chat with the three orp eggs. I told them I was on the phone with grandma and she said they had best getting moving on this hatching business...I swear I heard one of them snore! They are not listening to you either!

No worries about the phone...I just called to whimper because the Orps are sleeping. LOL I think I am going to go get some more stones from the creek bed and wash them for the waterer...I will feel better having a few more in there I think.

Hi Cetawin and SpeckledHen,

I'm having fun waiting and watching with you. Thanks for all the pictures. One day, after the coop has been expanded, I will take the jump and try hatching too!
