We got a bearded dragon in need today. The store manager at Petco brought it to the vet and rehabilitated it. He offered it to me with a complete bearded dragon setup for a donation to their charity! I'm so excited!

We named him Groot

Aww...what cutie pies! :love How do they do at the groomers? My Maltese has panic attacks at the groomers so I have learned to groom him myself. Took me 11 yrs, but I think I finally know what I'm doing. :lau

The secret to no panic attacks is to start trimming little bits, very early. At 10 days I used to trim just to clean out the stop area between eyes. Correct heads are very important in the breed I showed. Little by little just a bit more - like the very tops of the ears, etc.

Of course pet owners aren't going to do that - they probably get pups at 8 weeks or less that have never been around a clippers. IF they got them from me, they'd be fine.

We have only 1 groomer in town and she runs the shop like a factory. LOL Dogs sit in the cage and wait, they get a bath, wait longer, get a trim, back in the cage and wait until we come pick them up. My little guy can't take all that.

I started trimming him at 4 months old, he is now 11 yrs and he is fabulous around the electric trimmer and scissors. He holds PERFECTLY still and lets me do the work. :) I was pretty bad at grooming at first, but I have learned the art of sculpting the face now.
