None of mine have gone broody.

I always get a bunch of broody Leghorns every spring... but I have never had a broody Spitz.

She was a great broody and very good mother. She has been my only broody spitz. She went broody after only laying for about 3 months. I ended up naming her "mama". I'm hopeful she'll want to try again in the spring.

Yes - next spring......and not next week. The birds that go broody several times a year can be a pain. (Like Xansie who's in broody jail now and already raised 3 hatches of chicks in 2019.)

My two questionables haven't changed much so hopefully by next week I will start seeing differences but the one I'm betting ons tail feathers came in 2 whole weeks after the rest the other questionable one her crest came in when his tail feathers did which was odd because even my suspected boy had his crest already which makes me wonder about her but none of mine have combs yet that I can see soooooooo
