Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Spokane valley residents can own 1 chicken per 1,000 sq feet of property (keeping 10 chickens would require a 10,000 square foot lot), and coops must adhere to setback requirements. You will find the Spokane municipal codes governing the keeping of poultry at https://my.spokanecity.org/smc/?Section=17C.310.115.

[IMG] good luck with getting your own flock.

Michael Oshay has given you the info you need.

1 acre = 43560 sq feet, so sounds like you could get 4+ per acre?

With 1 chicken per 1000 square feet, on an acre you could keep up to 43 chickens.
