Right now in my back room, running loose because the weather has been too bad to move them outdoors, I have 3 poults and 16 white orps. Also in a big tub I have 8 ducklings. And I have eggs hatching on Monday.
I have had 7 bottle baby goats in at one time. My DH is used to it, never blinks an eye. The only thing I had trouble with was my peacocks, it took me 5 years to get them, he was convinced they would scare me to death when they scream. I never hear them.
He is a good man, he knows they are my passion.

DH loves the chickens. He's decided when they stop laying we'll just have them as pets. And he wants duckies.

I told him we can get duckies when we get the front yard re-landscaped. No way are they gonna mess up my nice new chicken run. (We had ducks temporariily this autumn until they decided to migrate. Messy critters.)

So yeah - DH is a total teddybear about the animals.

Red hen, your husband must really, really love you. (That goat in a diaper is adorable.

The most I have had in the house are a couple of lambs and a bunch of chickens...and dogs...and a teenager.

Hubby: NO NO NO chickens!
Me: just ONE, we can have ONE
Hubby: ok, fine, ONE
Me: they are social animals though, Ill get 2..it wont make any difference, you wont even notice
Hubby: the look
Me: Goes to feed store, brings home 3 chickens
Hubby: You can't count. I said NO chickens.. thats THREE chickens.
Me:Where are you going?
Hubby: To Lowes to get the lumber for their stinking coop! Where are we putting it?

you gotta love the practical hubby...keeps us real

Let me put it this way, I can live without hubby, but I will always make a way to keep my animals. So.....

Generally though, he'll *say* no more animals, but when he sees them he can't resist either!
