And here I thought you were just really excited about the new chicks coming, lol!

Ok so funny change of events...we're adding 8 meat birds to our order just to reach the 15 min!

Thankfully I got hold of just the right person locally and she was able to tell me exactly who to take them to for processing nearby, so we don't have to worry about upsetting the neighbors.

Not a newbie, but expecting my 16 new chicks next month January 18th, 2017 excited to see new batch from Meyer - first time order. New to salmon faverolles & welsummers. Still debating wether to drive & pick them up 2 hours away or have it mailed.

2 hours, I would go get them myself, save the stress and shipping cost.

Welcome, looking forward to pics later

Here's my first coop pics! First the plans, complete with daughters art work and potential coop names, it's looking like Peep's Place is winning out.

The coop and run all under one roof, the coop will be open to the run with a sliding barn door that I can close off but do not plan on it, maybe 3/4 shut on a windy night.

The run and coop all the same space, but yes I am making it all as big as I can in the space that I have. Also putting up a bit of fence that will enclose a pretty good chunk of the area below the garage, we are already calling it the barnyard. This area has 6' privacy fence already so will make a supervised free range area. I live in the mountains, lots of stuff to eat my peeps here
