I'm going to be ordering these any day now. Just getting ththe rest of my birthday money together lol I cant wait because my last flock just got wiped out

He's beautiful! And I see what you mean about looking like he doesn't have legs:D. And I was thinking, as I looked at those pictures, the cochins really are pretty good size birds when you compare them to hens twice their age. I don't think I had ever compared them side-by-side like that. I appreciate your help!
 
This is Neela, who is a bit busy at the moment, but she is about the same size as the other two.

Definently LF. Often times hatchery ones can be smaller than the ones bred to the standard.

Sounds like a fun flock! I have had a couple of those breeds. The spitz are very fun looking and extremely hardy!
 
My Faverolles laid through the winter, I do have artificial light in though. The Spitz will do well, I live in North Dakota and they tolerated the winter the best out of all of the breeds
That's great to hear!! What are your thoughts on the others I listed? I'm not a very experiance chicken owner. I've only owned EE, Barred Roxk, Isa Brown, Rhode Islands and mutts
