Definitely standards. Bantam cochins appear to have no legs.

Thanks. Yeah it really sucked cuz I walked in on the sucker dispatching my birds. So I'm gonna take some time to fix up the coop while these babes grow.

He's beautiful! And I see what you mean about looking like he doesn't have legs. And I was thinking, as I looked at those pictures, the cochins really are pretty good size birds when you compare them to hens twice their age. I don't think I had ever compared them side-by-side like that. I appreciate your help!

Definently LF. Often times hatchery ones can be smaller than the ones bred to the standard.

Sounds like a fun flock! I have had a couple of those breeds. The spitz are very fun looking and extremely hardy!

I was hoping ththeththey could handle the Michigan weather. I heard the SF may not lay in hot weather but everyone else seems to be ok

My Faverolles laid through the winter, I do have artificial light in though. The Spitz will do well, I live in North Dakota and they tolerated the winter the best out of all of the breeds

That's great to hear!! What are your thoughts on the others I listed? I'm not a very experiance chicken owner. I've only owned EE, Barred Roxk, Isa Brown, Rhode Islands and mutts
