I've been told you may have to watch out for your lone polish. Other birds tend to pick on them because they are different. Hopefully though if you raise them together it wont be an issueI am a new chicken mama with 8 chicks arriving sometime around 3/25. My 4yr old and I had a hard time selecting but settled on the following... I wanted 6 but chicken math took over and we are going with 8.. 8 is our city ordinance limit based on our lot size..
My daughter already preemptively named them all already.
Im still not sure if my husband realizes they are coming..

Spitzehauben can see and don't have the same problems as polish can. So you should be okay.I hope so too. I opted out of polish but I did get a Spitzehauben so I kinda may have the same problem
Oh that's great! I was worried for a minute that they may have the same problem the polish have but I didnt think of it till after I made the orderSpitzehauben can see and don't have the same problems as polish can. So you should be okay.
I often forget I have spitzehauben, they are busy and roost up high. I never trip on them.Oh that's great! I was worried for a minute that they may have the same problem the polish have but I didnt think of it till after I made the order
Are they flighty things?I often forget I have spitzehauben, they are busy and roost up high. I never trip on them.![]()
Mine aren't hysterical like some breeds, but they are aloof. I don't handle a lot so I can't say if handling will change them. Mine just don't really care about me, or about being forward and present. I always forget I have them, but I do have about 80 birds in the big flock. Are they flighty things?
